Hosting charter
A - Object :
This charter defines the usage rules to which different structures that may be hosted on EduNet server must abide by.
This charter doesn’t aim to be exhaustive in terms of law, rights and duties (deontology) that any user must abide by. It hence aims to inform of their existence and warns against risks.
This charter is reviewable and permanently available on EduNet server.
B - Information provided on EduNet portal :
The Tunisian Portal EduNet is a showcase of the National Education. As such, the published documents must contain reliable information, specific to services, pedagogical subjects, institutes and their various components.
This showcase must be alive: information must be updated and enriched regularly.
C - Site content :
1 - The institute cannot host another organism whichever it is.
2- Commercial and advertising pages are forbidden.
3- The site content must abide by the actual and upcoming laws :
- Abide by the law on nominative information.
- Pupils’ family names and pictures cannot be broadcasted on the web pages without parents’ permission.
- Respect of authors copyrights on texts, software, images, videos and sound tracks.
- Respect the intellectual property code.
4 - Any downloadable document from the website’s pages is considered as a published document on the site and must abide by the rules above as such.
5- Content must be strictly subscribed in training missions, and schools socio-cultural life.
D – Duties and responsibilities of the institution headmaster :
Each institution’s autonomous website is under its headmaster’s responsibility.
The authors of the pages are responsible as main author.
Each website must include :
- The institution and the person in charge of the network’s name, address, phone number.
- The headmaster’s name.
- The author’s name and e-mail.
When pupils are in charge of pages, the teacher who allowed and prescribed broadcasting is co-responsible.
E – Author’s duties and responsibilities :
The author or the group of authors is responsible as main author.
F – Graphic charter :
Each institution which publishes its website on EduNet has to define its own graphic charter. It cannot contradict any other aspect of the previously stated laws.
Therefore, for an optimal readability, it would be convenient to respect the following recommendations:
1- screen :
Use a minimum mode of 800 * 600.
Downloaded images size shall be limited to 20 Ko. Viewing bigger images would be performed voluntarily by the reader.
Use frames moderately.
2- Surfing :
Information must be read with a minimun scrolling (internal links use).
An external link to the server should open a new session of the browser in a new window.
Logos typography :
When characters are not integrated to the document, choose a current character (Times New Raman…)
Limit the number of characters as mauch as you can.
Folders names :
Folders names (HTML page, image, sound or video) shouldn’t exceed 8 characters.
Don’t use capital letters.
Don’t use special characters.
Don’t leave space between characters.
G – Website closing :
In case of non-respect of the above laws, the institutions website might be taken off-line. The website might also be closed in case that update doesn’t occur. The website back on line would be achieved after the person in charge of EduNet server would decide it.
